Playing your Edges – A Yin Yoga Exploration
As written by Bernie Clark, The first principle of Yin Yoga is – every time you come into a pose, go only to the point where you feel a significant resistance in the body. This concept invites us to allow our bodies a chance to open up and invites us to go deeper. Perhaps the body releases and a greater depth is achieved, perhaps not always. We will play with our edges, explore and listen to our bodies and respect their requests.
In this community class, we will focus on the core qualities of Yin Yoga and its rejuvenating effects on the Mind and Body. Yin Yoga Poses are held for more extended periods, thus providing an opportunity to go inward for self-reflection
2 Blocks, 1 or 2 Blankets and 1 Yoga Bolster
The class will be live on Zoom and will include a 48-hour replay if you can’t attend live.
Each month, we offer a free class to our community. We are committed to making our offerings accessible while also paying our teachers for their labor and expertise. These classes are made possible by our patrons and donors. You may take this class at no charge or by making a donation. Please see both options below.
