Upcoming All-Access Schedule
Here's a quick snippet of the future monthly themes for 2022. There's even more information on the inside. 😉
- January 2022: Success | The Four Aims
How do you define success? This month will bring us to inquiry that aligns our definition of success with the Four Aims of Life as found in the Yogic and Hindu traditions: Artha (prosperity), Dharma (virtue and purpose), Kama (pleasure), and Moksha (liberation). This inquiry of success and The Four Aims will be supported by asana and movement centered on hip opening, stability and strength through the major parts of the hip complex: glutes, hip flexors, inner thighs, quadriceps, hamstrings and pelvic floor.
- February 2022: in Love.
We turn our attention to the energetic heart, exploring love as a verb versus a feeling. This month, self-inquiry will touch on various pathways and expressions of love, namely: self-love, lovingkindness, forgiveness and grief. This month’s inquiry of the heart starts our progression through the Liberation Channel of the Chakras (heart, throat, third eye & crown).
starts Tuesday, February 1st
- March 2022: Voiced. (through the Yamas & the Niyamas)
Our inquiry continues up to the energetic throat chakra, exploring the voice as a unifier of our power and needs to the world around us. We will examine our voice through the lens of the Yamas and Niyamas, internal and ethical observances, observing how our voice sets the fullness of our self-advocacy practice, and impacts community change.
starts Tuesday, March 1st

About tiered pricing:
We believe in honoring the value of teaching and offering a practice that is accessible. Our tiered pricing system is self-determined. In deciding which price feels most appropriate to you, consider your social location (proximity to power and privilege), so that we can collectively move towards equity. If you are relatively stable financially, please pay the standard price. If you need to pay less for any reason, we encourage you to pay the community price.

The Connective is the space where my passion for Yoga meets community power. I am forever grateful for the teachers and community I get to share this work with, creating change in the wellness industry, bravely and collaboratively.
While I found empowerment and refuge in Yoga for over 15 years of practice, I also realized I wasn’t reflected in predominantly white spaces, first as a student, and then as a teacher. I believe that Yoga is a liberation practice, dependent on liberation of BIPOC, but I did not see that being upheld in dominant studio culture. As an extension of my practice and this belief, I created Yuja Soul, Yoga for Black Women, and I devote my offerings to The Conenective’s mission as a teacher and Steward.
My special sauce is my passion for Yoga philosophy, and its intersection with social justice. My classes aim to serve as a brave space, and are known for their physical and mental rigor centered on the power of Pranayama, Bandhas and Mantra, and filled with spacious self-inquiry. And sometimes, in that longer than usual Chair or Chaturanga hold (wiiink), there’s humour, wisdom, and most importantly, loving encouragement and community.
