Tonie Warner’s All-Access Monthly
Tonie’s classes are known for their mental and physical rigour and spaciousness in inquiry and alignment. Vinyasa flow, supported by the traditional tenets of Hatha Yoga, is integrated into a practice that explores the space where philosophy, self-inquiry and social justice meet. Classes are open to all practice levels, and build progressively through the month with a focus on a central theme which is explored through breath, movement, journaling and the various layers of the body.

September 2023: recalibrating time
starts Tuesday, September 5
Time keep moving, slipping and sloshing - we move to new days, weeks, month's, milestones and seasons. This month is centered on our relationship with time – the ‘i am’s’, needs, desires that create our relationship with time, and the ability we posses to create our own timelines. Practice will consist of well-rounded flowing Vinyasas that include breathwork, Somatics, traditional Namaskars (salutations), mantra and a return to postures we have visited through our year together.
As always, practice will be supported by journaling.
Reading and resourcing tools will also be included in this month’s All-Access.
This month of practice is suitable for all practice levels. Welcome to a new timeline. 🙂
Weekly themes are listed below:
– Week 1: the breath as medicine and resourcing
– Week 2: Santosha (Gratitude)
– Week 3: Brahmacharya (right use of energy) & Non-attachment
– Week 4: defining and expanding success
About tiered pricing:
We believe in honoring the value of teaching and offering a practice that is accessible. Our tiered pricing system is self-determined. In deciding which price feels most appropriate to you, consider your social location (proximity to power and privilege), so that we can collectively move towards equity. If you are relatively stable financially, please pay the standard price. If you need to pay less for any reason, we encourage you to pay the community price.

The Connective is the space where my passion for Yoga meets community power. I am forever grateful for the teachers and community I get to share this work with, creating change in the wellness industry, bravely and collaboratively.
While I found empowerment and refuge in Yoga for over 15 years of practice, I also realized I wasn’t reflected in predominantly white spaces, first as a student, and then as a teacher. I believe that Yoga is a liberation practice, dependent on liberation of BIPOC, but I did not see that being upheld in dominant studio culture. As an extension of my practice and this belief, I created Yuja Soul, Yoga for Black Women, and I devote my offerings to The Conenective’s mission as a teacher and Steward.
My special sauce is my passion for Yoga philosophy, and its intersection with social justice. My classes aim to serve as a brave space, and are known for their physical and mental rigor centered on the power of Pranayama, Bandhas and Mantra, and filled with spacious self-inquiry. And sometimes, in that longer than usual Chair or Chaturanga hold (wiiink), there’s humour, wisdom, and most importantly, loving encouragement and community.
